Trade Coordinator 


Export Assistance to Jordanian Companies
  • Research potential buyers, importers and/or distributors in the U.S., communicating this information to relevant Jordanian exporters.
  • Research potential opportunities for specific Jordanian exporters
  • Assist Jordanian exporters with contacting and visiting potential U.S. customers.
  • Assist Jordanian companies with participating in trade shows and other relevant events.
  • Follow-up on specific requests made by potential exporters.
  • Handle specific export related leads that are made to the ECB or to the Embassy in Washington.
  • Conduct research on U.S. import requirements
  • Gather and disseminate general market information relevant to Jordanian exporters.
  • Monitor and relay concerns regarding the U.S. – Jordan FTA, (i.e., labor and environmental issues).
  • Gather export statistics and prepare periodic reports on changes in market dynamics and other issues that may affect Jordanian exporters to the U.S.


  • Promote Jordanian exports to potential US buyers through presentations in meetings or in forums and conferences.

Other Duties

  •  Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the Director of the ECB. 


Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or Management, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.

 Work Experience

  •  3 to 5 years experience in business development, sales or marketing.
  •   International sales and marketing experience desirable. 

Language Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. 
  • Arabic is a plus


  •  Knowledge of current economic and investment trends vis-à-vis Jordan and the U.S. and the ability to apply this information to key aspects of the job.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to sell and market Jordanian products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills; ability to write correspondence and reports.
  • Good computer skills: competent in using MS Office, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and database programs.
